Recently I had my DNA done and found out I was 20% Irish, 60% Scottish, Wales, and UK. I had suspected that for some time. My grandmother’s last name was McGinnis, and my maiden name was Anderson. I suspect the Wales part came from my maternal grandfather, but I’m not sure. I’ve always loved Celtic music, but that could come from my East Tennessee roots.
Irish Encounter came to us in the winter of 2014, maybe late 2013. I don’t remember since that time was a blur to me due to being very sick and having a lot of surgeries. We did publish Irish Encounter in May of 2014. I loved this book from the beginning, mostly because the main character was a mature widowed woman. I’d say Ellen was in her late 40’s or early 50’s. I hadn’t read many books with the characters in their mature years before, so I jumped on it. It was a very good choice. Beginning September 27 through September 29, 2017 Irish Encounter is FREE on Amazon.com. Here’s the link. amazon.com/…book/dp/B00XD3NMI8/ref=sr_1_1
After almost three years of living under a fog of grief, Ellen Shepherd is ready for the next chapter in her life. Perhaps she’ll find adventure during a visit to Galway. Her idea of excitement consists of exploring Ireland for yarn to feature in her shop back home, but the adventure awaiting her includes an edgy stranger who disrupts her tea time, challenges her belief system, and stirs up feelings she thought she’d buried with her husband.
After years of ignoring God, nursing anger, and stifling his grief, Payne Anderson isn’t ready for the feelings a chance encounter with an enchanting stranger evokes. Though avoiding women and small talk has been his pattern, something about Ellen makes him want to seek her—and God again.
Can Ellen accept a new life different than the one she planned? Can Payne release his guilt and accept the peace he’s longed for? Can they surrender their past pain and embrace healing together, or will fear and doubt ruin their second chance at happiness?

Kyla Porter and Becki Hunley had been friends since childhood. They had gone to church and school together and had graduated from the University of Tennessee. They parted ways when Becki moved to Nashville to enter the country music field while Kyla continued her education in veterinary school and eventually moved to northern Mississippi to practice veterinary medicine.
Scarred by a tragic ending to a relationship, Kyla finds it hard to trust any man, even the handsome teacher she meets at Graceland, who seems too good to be true. Becki finds the perfect man for her, a handsome doctor she meets at church, and both she and Kyla become engaged within a few months of each other. They had always dreamed of being each other’s maid or matron of honor when they married, but their plans are in jeopardy when their wedding dates are in conflict. Will they be able to solve their dilemma, or will their dream die?
