I completely missed my post yesterday. My son-in-law had two ablations on Monday, plus a little repair work on his heart. As usually happens, his surgery was delayed because of problems of patients ahead of him. It ended up we spent the whole day at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. Since we were so late leaving we decided to spend the night with our daughter and son-in-law and leave early yesterday morning. You know how you feel when you’ve not slept in your own bed? It was a rough day yesterday, but we made it home and I tried to catch up, but I didn’t. The best news is our son-in-law is doing so much better.
We have a new cover to release to the public. This book will be out March 27, 2018. The name is Safe Refuge, and the author is Pamela S. Meyers. She has written several books and has published with several publishers. We are thrilled to have her with Mantle Rock Publishing. It’s not on Amazon.com yet, but will be on pre-order for the ebook on February 27, 2018. But I can give you an advance look at the cover and the blurb about the book.
In two days, wealthy Chicagoan, Anna Hartwell, will wed a man she loathes. She would refuse this arranged marriage to Lyman Millard, but the Bible clearly says she is to honor her parents, and Anna would do most anything to please her father – even leaving her teaching job at a mission school and marrying a man she doesn’t love. The Great Chicago Fire erupts, and Anna and her family escape with only the clothes on their backs and the wedding postponed. Father moves the family to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, where Anna reconnects with Rory Quinn, a handsome immigrant who worked at the mission school. Realizing she is in love with Rory, Anna prepares to break the marriage arrangement with Lyman until she learns a dark family secret that changes her life forever.
Another important bit of information, Mantle Rock Publishing LLC is now a member of Christian Small Publishers Assoc. I am so happy to be a part of this association that encourages clean and Christian books.
