This past weekend was a busy one for us. Our first born grandchild graduated from college. We are so proud of Savannah Leigh Turpin. She was our first. She has brought so much joy to our lives. She is also a very talented musician.
We’ve been to numerous concerts and recitals where she sang solos, but Saturday afternoon at Lipscomb University, she belted out the alma mater better than any song she’s ever sung. Her voice was strong, pure, and all notes hit perfectly. We were so proud to be able to hear her sing her last song at college.
She has a lot in store for her in the future. Her desire is to teach middle school chorus. We pray she will be able to find a position soon. It’s a joy for us to be her grandparents.
We have three more to graduate from high school and college, if that is their desire. Next school year all three will be in high school. Life does go on, and I pray we will be able to see them each graduate. They are all such sweet children.
Family is very important to us. We cherish each minute we can spend with our children and grandchildren. Our step-granddaughter was with us at the graduation with her daughter. We enjoyed spending time with them, although we don’t see them as much. All in all we had a great weekend.
