Summer does not slow down for us here at Mantle Rock Publishing. In fact I think it kicks up a gear. Our spring has been filled with a lot of family, but now that the college kid is graduated and everyone is feeling better we’re ready to rock. Spring and summer brings good books, or that’s what I think.
June will be packed full of a lot of things. This year is our KenTen Writers Retreat’s sixth year. We started with about six people to stay in a couple of cabins at Ken Lake State Park in Kentucky. Now we’re grown to close to thirty and we’ve moved to a better venue, Montgomery Bell State Park in Tennessee. Before we did the Ken Lake meeting, a couple of other ladies came to my house for a weekend of learning from each other. We begin our retreat June 11, and there is still a few more days before registration ends. Most of the attendees say this is the best conference they go to. We hope to make it good again this year. The park is beautiful and our speakers are outstanding.
We will be releasing two books later in June. Carolina Mercy is the second in A Southern Breeze Series. This will be a good summer reading book because it’s set at the beach. What better place for a vacation? Regina Merrick brings in characters from Carolina Dream and adds new characters to the book. Carolina Dream is available at amazon.com/…book/dp/B06XF1HK4L/ref=sr_1_1 We don’t have a date for Carolina Mercy, but I will let you know as soon as we do.
The other book coming out soon will be Camp Hope. This is the second book by Sara Foust in her Love, Hope, and Faith Series. The first was Callum’s Compass. Sara brings us back to the mountains of East Tennessee for this book about hope and caring. This will make another great book to take on vacation, especially if you vacation around the Smoky Mountains where this is set. I love reading Sara’s books because it is set in an area where I’m familiar. This will be out either the last of June of the first of July. You can purchase Callum’s Compass at amazon.com/…book/dp/B076B9PBZL/ref=sr_1_1
These are both good books, and we’re looking forward to the new ones coming out.
