Can you believe it’s June? I think it came faster than it did last year. I remember my grandmother telling me when I was young that as you grew older time passed faster. She was so right. It seems to be flying by right now.
This week we’ve celebrated two anniversaries and a birthday. That could be a book title. They were three in a row, a birthday and two anniversaries. Today is our daughter and her husband’s anniversary; yesterday was our son and his wife’s anniversary, and our youngest granddaughter turned sixteen the day before. My grandkids are growing up.
What have you been up to this week? I have finished two books to be published next month, did a quick edit on one to release in September, and now I’m working on one to release in August. I love books, and I love to read. I think that’s why I love publishing. I get to read, but thirteen hours yesterday was a little too much. I’m taking it a little easier today.
To me Friday means the work week is over. Saturday and Sunday are my days off. I need that time to get away from my computer and do other things. Yesterday my husband did all the meals except breakfast. That helped me while I edited.
Next week we’ll be preparing for KenTen Writers Retreat. I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. We have several new attendees this year, and I’m looking forward to getting to know them. My keynote address is ready. I need to go over it one more time and transfer it to my tablet. I’m almost ready with my session. It’s on power point, but I need to tweak it some and do the outlines for the attendees. That will be easy to do.
Today I’m working on edits for Quest of Fire. This is a speculative fiction and will release in August. I’ve gotten behind on this edit, but today I plan to catch up. Tomorrow we’ll go to a cookout. Today I’m making my special potato salad, and I’ll make blueberry pie in the morning from the fresh blueberries my husband picked yesterday. Sunday is church. Maybe I can rest away from the computer. Have a blessed weekend.
