We are preparing to publish another speculative/fantasy. I haven’t said much about it, but it will release in September. Mercury Rising is written by Tim and Gail Sattler. I’ve enjoyed it very much, and I can’t wait to release the cover and put it on pre-order. You may know Gail Sattler from her previous books with various publishing houses, but this is the first one with us. I’m excited her husband, Tim, has joined her in writing this book.
I’m also editing another speculative. I don’t have a release date on it yet, but soon. It’s a epic speculative set in the middle ages. The name of it is Quest of Fire by Brett Armstrong. This is a long manuscript with a lot of action. You’ll hear more about it as it comes nearer to publication.
We are looking for more contemporary romance manuscripts. We have several historical romance and romantic suspense, but no romance. I’d love to see a good romance or two for next year. We are also low on cozy mysteries. We have one scheduled for next year, but we could use another one. We are always looking for any good manuscript. Our schedule is filling for 2019.
My husband will be having his right knee replaced in a week and a half. Today is the last doctor appointment we have before the surgery. We’re going two places today, the surgeon’s office and the hospital. The hospital has something they call Joint Boot Camp. The surgeon wanted him to go to it. I went when I had my knees replaced, and it will tell him what to expect from the time he enters the hospital until he leaves. I’m sure he understands a lot since he’s been with me for both my replacements. Since I no longer drive because of my eye sight, we’re trying to get all of our appointments in before his surgery. I have one more appointment before his surgery.
I hope everyone enjoys the 4th of July holiday. There’ll be plenty of fireworks and good food. Be safe if you’re traveling. I’ll take tomorrow off and be back Thursday. Happy Birthday USA, and my oldest granddaughter. Thankfully they are not the same age.
