Summer is flying by. It’s hard to believe that in six months we will be in a new year and Christmas will be over. School starts here next month. Where did the summer go? Wherever it went, it went to fast!
There’s a lot to be done before summer ends. I’ve been scheduled to teach at a conference in Arkansas. My speeches need to be redone some for that conference. I love teaching on marketing and writing books. Marketing is something you start early, but I’ve said that before. I won’t bore you again with marketing, but I have some new ideas.
In the past I had said to stay away form Facebook and Twitter. I would like to correct that. We all have so many “friends” on Facebook and Twitter that this is where we need to start. These people can help you become noticed. The same with Twitter. Start using these social media platforms when you begin to write. Build up your fan base. You will be surprised how much it will help to be recognized. The more people click on your post, the higher up it goes in the Facebook feed. More people will see it, but the trick is to make comments yourself. I had no idea how much this helps until I started doing this. My blog posts have increased in readers, and the company is selling more books.
Before I realized this I wanted everyone to be on different Facebook groups. I don’t press that anymore. It’s still good, but not everyone sees you post in a group. More people see a post on Facebook and Twitter. When someone answers your post you get a conversation going, and that is good.
Monday my husband is having a complete knee replacement. I’ll probably be behind some on posting here each day. He’s not been in the hospital since he was ten years old. That’s been a lot of years. I’m praying he will be fine, and I know he’ll feel better when it’s over. If you don’t hear from me for a while that will be the reason. He’s counting off the days now.
