Our problems started last week when we found the floor was mushy around the commode in our hall bathroom. My husband began pulling up the linoleum and found all of the particle board wet, very wet. As he pulled the linoleum off, he found most of the bathroom floor wet. Our only resource was to pull all the particle board up. Thankfully the bathroom is not large and it didn’t take long to get the board up.
We have a friend who likes to lay tile, and he’s good. He’s one of these people that can’t sit down. He came Saturday morning and laid tile in the bathroom. He has done a wonderful job and the bathroom looks so much better. I wanted the tiles set on a diagonal, but we decided it would be faster to lay them horizontal. The grout will go down tomorrow night.
Deciding on grout color was hard to do. The tile looks like barn wood. There were several different colors of brown grout from beige to dark brown. I think I got a color a little lighter than the tiles. It will have to work.
Right now I have a vanity in my kitchen, a commode on the carport, and linens all through the house. Friday my nephew from Scotland and his wife will be coming for the weekend. We only see them every two years, so I’m looking forward to their visit. We can get into their bedroom and bathroom, but the other bedroom is a mess. We’ll get it all cleaned up before the weekend. Most of the family will be in for lunch on Saturday.
Mantle Rock Publishing has been around for almost six years. In fact Friday will be our sixth year anniversary. Today was the first time anyone stopped by the house to inquire about publishing their book. We enjoyed talking to them about books. We had a nice visit.
The rest of the day will be spent working. I’m ready to get back to normal, maybe next week.
