Santa always makes an early visit to our house. Since our children married and moved away, we’ve had to work with the other in-laws. It doesn’t bother me because I know the situation. Our son-in-law’s sister works in a neonatal ward at University of Tennessee Hospital. She’s been there for years and loves the babies. Since her children grew up, she works Christmas Day so the younger nurses can spend the day with family. I respect her for that. We have to switch, but it’s okay.
My shopping had to be done. I have two things that did not come from Amazon in time, but they will be here soon. It’s all right. We’ll enjoy them when we get them. Other than that, the presents are wrapped and under the tree. My few decorations are up. I’m not an all-our decorator. I like it simple, less to put away.
I do have some baking to do today. I’m doing the dessert. It may not be fancy, but it will be good. It’s hard to do a lot with my husband recuperating fro
m his knee replacement. I’ve gotten so far behind on everything. He is doing well, but I still have a lot to do for him.
We’re getting ready for next year. I’m excited about the books coming out in February. You’re seeing the cover of the first book we release in February. We have some good ones the rest of the year. This is an exciting time for us. In addition to that I’m working on speaking engagements. I love to help new authors with their writing. I hope your new year is as exciting as ours will be.
Another thing I will start in January is podcasts on marketing. We’ll go into the why, when, where, and how of marketing. I will let everyone know when we start.
Things need to be done today, and I need to get busy.
Have a blessed day.
