As I think about last year, we’ve accomplished a lot, both in our personal, writing, and publishing life. This year has brought grief over the loss of friends and family. We’ve watched several friends die with cancer over the year. Several have fought and won, and some are still fighting. We’re to the age now that our family of our age are passing from this life. Life is so short, we should enjoy each minute of it.
There has been very little time to write this year, but I have almost completed one book. My plans are to finish it either this week or next. I have another one to work on. Scheduling time to write is the hardest thing for me.
We’ve had a busy schedule publishing books. Next year looks a little fuller. We’re introduced new authors to you, and some will be returning next year. It’s hard to realize that 2019 is full, and we’re working on 2020 now. It takes time to get it all done, and our cover designer works a full time job and works for us on the weekends. She is limited in her time, but she does such good covers that we will continue to work with her.
In 2019 we will begin a new podcast series on marketing and writing. They go together. If your writing isn’t good, your book will not sell. You need a dynamic story, something everyone will want to read. It has to be exciting for people to read. This is the first part of marketing. We will go on through other points of marketing, and my desire is to help you market your book and make you successful.
The most fun thing to happen this year is my Christmas present, and also my daughter’s and granddaughter’s. We received tickets to Scotland. I’ve been there before, but daughter and granddaughter haven’t. I’m looking forward to ten glorious days with family. My nephew lives outside of Glasgow. Can’t wait to see our Scottish family.
Have a blessed day.
