It’s almost Christmas! 2019 will soon be all in the past.
For our country and the world, it has been a tumultuous year. Nation against nation, political factions at war, lives lost in terrorist attacks and because of personal grudges. I’m tired of it all. How about you?
Life is filled with the unexpected. Illness, a leaking water pipe, a snow storm, a power outage, or something else interferes with our “best laid” plans. No matter how carefully we plan, unexpected surprises rob of time, money, and joy.
As writers, we know how easy it is to be distracted from a WIP or to procrastinate in getting started. There are times when the best thing to do, if possible, is to set aside our writing and take the time for traditions, rest, and family.
I recently signed up to receive a “super stack” of e-books about writing. I’m enjoying my purchase, and I’m looking forward to learning so much more about the craft of writing in the new year.
I’m going to keep this post short, because I know you probably don’t have a lot of extra reading time right now.
In closing, I want to wish you a Christmas filled with blessings and a New Year of joy and success in writing. May you know God’s hope, love, joy and peace through Jesus Christ, whose birthday we are celebrating.
