This is a new decade. A lot of people have made New Year’s resolutions that they will never keep. I’ll probably be one of them. Although I try to be positive and keep them, it seems I never do. A few resolutions I will keep though, and they are writing resolutions.
We try to keep December and January clear of books releasing. Everyone is busy during the holidays, and that helps us all to get ready for the holidays. That is one resolution we will keep. No books releasing in December and January.
This year, I plan to release two books of my own. One will be a free novella to tell readers the growing-up years of Daisy McQueen, the main character in Daisy’s Story, Nothin’ Shady Ever Happens In Shady Valley. This will keep me from telling a lot of backstory in Daisy’s story. It’s hard to put some of what happened to her and her company in the regular book. I’m excited to be working on this book.
I’ll also be speaking at several conferences this summer. I had one added today, and I am super excited. I’ll tell you all more about this when the event gets closer. I will be speaking March 21, 2020 at Mid-South Writers Conference and KenTen Writers Retreat June 8-11, 2020. I don’t have a definite on one conference, but I do expect to teach another class in June at another conference. I love to do this. It is exciting to talk to so many people.
We do have a full schedule for 2020. I’m excited that we are full, and scheduling books in 2021. I am proud of our business, and I always look forward to meeting new people.
I wish you a belated Happy New Year. May 2020 bring you much joy, success, and wisdom.
